TROUPE

I just got these and I am in love with them. I was worried about the size because of the comments but I got my normal size (38) and they fit perfectly! I wasn't sure if I needed a size up because I really struggled to get them on my feet, and they felt really tight (too narrow) when I first put them on. After a couple hours of walking in them they loosened up and now they're PERFECT. Any bigger and I would be tripping on my feet. I used some doc martens wonder balsam on them too which helped loosen them up a bit.

I feel so powerful in these shoes.

I followed the size chart, and got a 7US/38EU (7US being my regular size.) They fit if I use two pairs of inserts and wool socks. If I wanted to go through the return process, which I don't, I'd get a size 37EU for sure. The calf circumference (which I couldn't find anywhere online before buying) is about 14 inches, with an elastic panel for more leeway. Unfortunately these are going right back in the box until I can consult a cobbler about reducing the calf size.

All that being said though- these boots are hot, and would make a great closet staple. If your feet and legs are more on the average side rather than skinny like mine, you probably won't have as much hassle with them and can enjoy fresh out of the box!
